A.  Major Activities of MC Shimla :-

1.    Provides non-aviation weather forecast,  Agriculture Met.

Advisory Services for the farmers of H.P . state. Issues  the

Local Weather Forecast for Shimla and adverse weather

warnings to the different state authorities / organization of

H.P state.

2.      Collection of weather Data from different observatories in

H.P. Computation and analysis of surface data.

3.      Supervision of the work of regular /part-time observatories

situated in H.P. Monitoring of the data records.   Assist the

state authorities regarding weather related queries at the time

of their need.
