FOR DELHI, CHANDIGARH, PUNJAB, HARYANA, HIMACHAL PRADESH,

JAMMU AND KASHMIR, RAJASTHAN, UTTAR PRADESH AND UTTARAKHAND

FRIDAY 10 SEPTEMBER 2010 (19 BHADRAPADA 1932 SAKA)

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 0830 HOURS IST:

            Southwest monsoon has been active in Punjab and east Rajasthan.

RAINFALL:

                 Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Rajasthan,  at a few places in Haryana, west Rajasthan and Uttarakhand and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: HARYANA: (2 cm and above)  Indri and Panipat 3 each and Nilokhari and samalkha 2 each, HIMACHAL PRADESH: (2 cm and above) Bhoranj, Dharamsala, Renuka and Pandoh 4 each and Hamirpur and Ghamroor 2 each, JAMMU AND KASHMIR: Patti 7, Kathua 2 and Bhoond and Bhasholi 1 each,  PUNJAB: (2 cm and above) Pathonkot and Nakodar 4 each, Malakpur, Shahpur kandi, R.S.Dam Site, Hosiarpur, Phagwaram and Moga 3 each and Bhatinda, Amritsar, Zira, Dasuya and Garshankar 2 each, EAST RAJASTHAN: (5 cm and above) Dariabad 10, Pipulkhant and Salumber 8 each, Sawar 6 and Vijaynagar, Hurda, Chirawa, Bhim and Gogunda 5 each, WEST RAJASTHAN: Dorimanna 3, Phalodi 2 and Chotan, Jalore, Sayls, Jodhpur and Pali 1 each, EAST UTTAR PRADESH: Salimpur 10, Beberu, Gonda and Gyanpur 2 each and Gaighat, Basti, Khaga and Kunda 1 each, WEST UTTAR PRADESH: Hasanpur 5, Baghpat, Hapur, Sambhal and Nakur 2 each and Sikanderabad, Sardhana and Budhana 1 each and UTTARAKHAND: Haldwani 3, Champatwat and Haridwar 2 each and Kotdwara,  Deoprayag and Munsiyari 1 each.
 
FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 12th SEPTEMBER 2010:

                Rain/thundershowers would occur at many places in south Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and may occur at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and north Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING:

                Isolated heavy rainfall may occur in southeast Rajasthan during the next 48 hours.

OUTLOOK FOR THE SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:

                No large change.
